Are you ready to make a real impact? Lewis Street Primary is launching an exciting new Internal Alternative Provision (IAP), and we’re looking for a passionate, skilled SEND Teacher to help bring it to life. You’ll work with a small group of 812 learners with EHCPs or SEN Support needs, creating a nurturing, highly adapted environment where every child can thrive. There will be flexibility in timetabling where pupils will be attending the IAP for a range of subjects and also accessing mainstream learning all will benefit from your expertise, creativity and care.

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of planning and teaching in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

Promote and model the school vision and understand how importaant relataionships, honesty and trust are with chidlren

Develop high quality professional relationships with colleagues, parents, carers and external services.

Contribute to the development of an inspiring culture for learning,
- Assess pupils accurately; track progress and deliver interventions to help close gaps and create individual progression.

Understand the importance and impact of teamwork and collaboration. Work in collaboration with professionals and school staff to work towards individual and group targets.

Write and review ILPs that track progress and submit evidence towards EHCP Reviews.

Have the ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities

Have a good understanding of effective SEND provision, including adaptation and how to promote independence alongside challenge and building confidence.

Be an enthusiastic and confident teacher, able to develop a can-do attitude in all aspects of the development of SEND provision

Be a great communicator with staff, children and families.
