We are urgently seeking an experienced and compassionate Live-In Carer to support a client living with dementia and anxiety in Cullompton, Devon.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a calm, patient, and reassuring carer who enjoys helping someone remain active, independent, and connected to their local community.
- Provide high-quality live-in care within the client’s home
- Support a client living with dementia and anxiety
- Offer reassurance, encouragement, and gentle guidance
- Promote independence, well-being, and emotional comfort
- Assist with mobility and daily routines
- Accompany the client on outings, appointments, and community activities
- Help maintain a structured and positive daily routine
The client enjoys:
- Weekly shopping trips, especially to Marks & Spencer
- Going out for drives
- Lunch at the local pub
- Walking for exercise and fresh air
- Community outings and companionship
Cognition can vary from day to day, and the client benefits from clear explanations, reassurance, and a calm approach. Anxiety is mainly focused around finances. There is no challenging behaviour.
- Uses a rollator within the home
- Stair lift available
- Wheelchair used for longer outings
- Encouragement and supervision required to maintain confidence and safety
- Proven experience supporting clients with dementia
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
- Calm, patient, and reassuring personality
- Confidently supporting mobility needs
- Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach
- Able to build trust and provide consistent companionship
