Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Barista to lead our café team. Duties
- Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding coffee and customer service experiences
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and quality
- Oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Assist with food preparation and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
- Train new staff members in coffee preparation, serving techniques, and safety protocols
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage practices
- Maintain efficient time management to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Uphold the café’s standards for presentation, hygiene, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or hospitality setting is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and stock management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and fostering team collaboration
