We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles, ensuring safety and optimal performance. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and specialised equipment to identify vehicle issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on various motor vehicles, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair procedures.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with the installation of new parts and systems, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they develop into major issues.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics carried out for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client concerns professionally.
- Perform heavy lifting when required to move parts or equipment safely within the workshop environment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for accurate diagnostics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and maintenance procedures for motor vehicles.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment repair issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding environments.
- Organised approach to work with attention to detail in record keeping and task execution.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop setting.
- MOT qualifications would be desirable

Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
