We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Senior Beauty Therapist to join our St Andrews team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident therapist who is passionate about the industry and is looking to take the next step in their career. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with both the salon team and management team, with a pathway towards a future Salon Manager position for the right candidate.
- The Opportunity -
As a Senior Beauty Therapist, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards that The Wax Bar is known for.
Alongside delivering exceptional treatments and customer service, you will help support and develop other team members, contribute to salon performance and act as a key point of communication between the salon team and management.
You will be trusted to take ownership, demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute positively to the continued growth of the business.
- Key Responsibilities -
Client Experience and Treatment Standards
- Deliver a consistently exceptional standard of treatments and customer care.
- Build strong client relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Promote and recommend suitable treatments and retail products.
- Maintain treatment rooms and salon areas to the highest standards.
Team Support & Leadership
- Lead by example in professionalism, client care and treatment standards.
- Support, mentor and encourage other therapists.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members where required.
- Maintain a positive and supportive team environment.
Business & Management Support
- Work closely with the management team
- Maintain regular communication regarding salon performance, staffing requirements, training needs and client feedback.
- Oversee the company procedures, standards and business incentives.
- Assist in achieving salon targets and driving overall business performance.
- What We're Looking For -
Essential
- HNC, Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' salon experience.
- Strong treatment knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
- Professional, reliable and self-motivated.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for the beauty industry and client care.
Desirable
Experience in some or all of the following:
- Waxing
- Laser Hair Removal
- Eye Treatments (Lash Lift, Brow Lamination, HD Brows)
- The Gel Bottle Nail Treatments (Gel Manicure/Pedicure, BIAB Nail Enhancements)
- ELIM Pedicure
- Spray Tanning
- Advanced facial treatments and skin care
We pride ourselves on our award-winning waxing techniques, and previous waxing experience would be advantageous. However, conversion training can be provided for the right candidate.
As part of our recent rebrand to The Wax Bar LUXE, experience or interest in advanced facial treatments, including Hydrafacial, would be highly beneficial.

- Working Hours -
The salon operates Monday to Saturday from 10am, with late evenings throughout the week.
We are ideally seeking a full-time therapist, although a 4-day working week may be considered for the right candidate.
