Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for Support Workers in our supported living (16+) home and Support Workers in our Children's home (8-17 years)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Support Worker Key Responsibilities
These responsibilities are for guidance and do not incorporate every duty of this position. As the needs of the business will change and evolve, the job description is subject to change.
- Provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all children and young people in the home, helping them to develop independence and life skills.
- Plan and deliver activities and programmes to meet the needs and interests of the children and young adults.
- Work collaboratively with other Team members, external agencies, and professionals to ensure that the physical and emotional needs of the children and young people are met.
- Assist the young person to establish, promote and maintain positive links with their school or college, family members (or significant others) and other professionals involved in their support system.
- Complete and maintain accurate records in line with legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies.
- Help develop and implement support plans, risk assessments and other documents to support the delivery of high-quality care and ensure these are reviewed at appropriate intervals.
- Undertake any additional training or professional development required to improve knowledge and understanding.
- Ensure that all necessary appointments are arranged, and social workers, parents or significant others are kept well informed.
- Uphold the values, principles, and policies of Libre Living and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour.
Personal Attributes required:
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Understanding of the need for professional confidentiality
· A positive approach to tackling tasks.
Requirements
Full and Part time positions available, however applicants will need to be able to commit to sleep ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
Skills Desirable but not essential:
Minimum Level 3 diploma in Children and Young People. If you do not hold this you must be willing to train for this, and this training will be provided to you free of charge.
Some experience of parenting / caring of children with challenging behaviour preferred.
Full UK Driving Licence preferred
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
- Relevant previous training to the role
Licence/Certification:
- Enhanced DBS (once completed all team members will be asked to sign up to the Update service) Libre living will conduct and pay for an initial DBS check, as part of a conditional offer, for successful applicants.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£13.28 per hour
