Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the transformation and enhancement of spaces. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of construction painting techniques, and a valid driving licence.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and project specifications
- Assist in the preparation of work sites by covering furniture and flooring to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travel between sites
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating tasks
Pay: £140.00-£170.00 per day
