Flexible Working
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.
The Water Safety team will be focused on ensuring all statutory inspections and maintenance is completed on the Universities water outlets across our campuses.
The Mechanical Assistants will be primarily undertaking temperature monitoring of water outlets, as well as maintaining the local temperature control valves across our campuses.

About You
You will hold proven previous practical experience of working within the mechanical/building services industry and/or: City & Guilds NVQ II or equivalent in a relevant subject. You will possess an awareness of mechanical operations and systems, e.g. heating/ventilation systems and a good understanding of job specific and general health and safety in the workplace, including risk assessments and method statements.
You’ll have experience of planned preventative maintenance systems, the ability to work as member of a team, effective oral communication and customer service skills, proven ability to resolve simple problems and use own initiative.
You will hold a full, clean UK or EU equivalent driving licence.
