About the Role
We're looking for someone who can become an important part of our team—not just another instructor.
You'll be coaching classes, supporting students, encouraging parents, helping the school grow and creating an unforgettable experience every time someone walks through our doors.
No two days are ever the same.
One moment you'll be helping a nervous five-year-old earn their first stripe.
The next you'll be coaching an adult to achieve their Black Belt.
Every class is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Your Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering exciting, high-energy martial arts classes
- Inspiring children, teenagers and adults to achieve their goals
- Following and developing our structured curriculum
- Supporting students with their confidence and progression
- Building excellent relationships with members and parents
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and professional academy
- Supporting student retention and outstanding customer service
- Creating fun social media content and appearing in promotional videos
- Assisting with events, gradings, competitions and school activities
- Representing Blue Wave professionally both inside and outside the academy

Essential Requirements
- Black Belt in Taekwondo
- Previous teaching experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident leading classes independently
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfortable appearing on social media and promotional videos
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Desirable Skills
- First Aid qualification
- Safeguarding qualification
- Customer service experience
- Sales or membership experience
- Experience with CRM or booking systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
