Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama & Performing Arts Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students through performance, creativity, and expression.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting school productions, extracurricular activities, and fostering a love for the performing arts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Drama and Performing Arts lessons
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students
- Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level, if applicable) assessments
- Organise and contribute to school productions and performances
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider Arts department
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the performing arts
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
