Vale Estate Landscaping & Irrigation Ltd is a growing landscaping and specialist irrigation company working across West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.
We're looking for an organised, proactive and dependable administrator to become a key part of our growing business. This is an important role supporting the day-to-day running of the company, ensuring our customers receive an excellent experience from their first enquiry through to completion of their project.
This is a work-from-home, self-employed position, so applicants will need access to a reliable laptop or desktop computer, a stable internet connection, and be comfortable working independently from home.

What you'll be doing
- Managing customer emails and enquiries.
- Scheduling site visits and booking confirmed work into the company calendar. - Organising the weekly work schedule and keeping customers informed.
- Confirming appointments and upcoming jobs. - Monitoring outstanding invoices and sending friendly payment reminders.
- Following up quotations with prospective customers.
- Preparing draft emails, quotations and job information for approval.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and job information.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and members of the team.
- Escalating technical enquiries or decisions to the director when required.
About you
You'll be someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional and confident communicating by phone and email.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Proactive and comfortable following up customers and outstanding actions.
- Able to prioritise tasks within a busy working environment.
- Confident using email, online calendars and general office software.
- Comfortable working remotely and using your own computer equipment.
Previous administration experience within landscaping, construction, property maintenance or another trade-based business would be an advantage, although strong administration experience from other industries will also be considered.
Working hours
Approximately 8–12 hours per week, usually across Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
There may occasionally be a need to check and respond to urgent enquiries outside these hours. The exact working pattern can be agreed with the successful applicant.
As the business continues to grow, there may be opportunities for this role to increase in hours and responsibility.
