Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-time Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking ingredients as needed
- Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients or assisting with basic service tasks
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained in good working order
Requirements
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
