About the Role
Parkinson Signs is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Signage Estimator to join our team.
As part of The Sign Makers Group, we deliver high-quality signage solutions that help businesses strengthen their brands and stand out. In this key role, you will assess project requirements, prepare accurate and competitive estimates using Clarity Software, and work closely with clients, suppliers, sales colleagues and production teams.
Your expertise will help ensure every project is commercially viable, accurately priced and delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client briefs, specifications, drawings and site information to establish the full scope of signage projects.
- Use Clarity Software to prepare, manage and maintain detailed project estimates and quotations.
- Produce accurate estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, installation and other project costs.
- Conduct site visits when required to take measurements and assess access, installation conditions and potential challenges.
- Work with clients and the sales team to clarify requirements and develop suitable pricing options.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify opportunities to improve value and control costs without compromising quality.
- Support the development of project schedules and proposed delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and ensure quotations are completed within agreed deadlines.
- Liaise with production and installation teams to confirm that proposed solutions are practical and achievable.
- Monitor costs throughout the tender and quotation process, highlighting commercial risks where appropriate.
Skills and Experience
- Previous estimating experience within the signage industry or a related manufacturing, construction or visual-communications environment.
- Proven experience using Clarity Software for estimating, quotations and project cost management.
- Good knowledge of signage materials, fabrication processes and installation methods.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and client briefs accurately.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple quotations and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A commercially focused approach, with a sound understanding of margins, budgets and cost control.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using CAD tools would be an advantage.

Pay: £28,800.00-£31,000.00 per year
