We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our large mixed NHS and private dental practice in Batley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in dentistry while working towards a recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a busy clinical environment, supporting dentists and patients while developing the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Dental Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Learn and follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Sterilise and prepare dental instruments and equipment.
- Support patients before, during and after treatment, ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Assist with stock management and ordering of clinical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with practice policies, health and safety regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Attend training and complete coursework towards a recognised Dental Nursing qualification.
Essential Requirements
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in dental nursing.

- Reliable, punctual and committed to learning.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred.
- Availability to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with Saturday attendance being mandatory.

- Previous experience in a customer service, healthcare or patient-facing role.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
