Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in catering and restaurant operations, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with health and safety standards
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations, including ingredient organisation and inventory checks
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Help with serving meals to customers or guests as required
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment after use
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with environmental policies
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation and basic culinary skills is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred
- Experience in meal preparation, food service, or general kitchen work will be considered a plus
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this role
Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
