Merchandising Assistant

Role Overview
Goose & Gander is a fast-growing, community-led clothing brand, and we’re looking for an organised, commercially minded and detail-focused Merchandising Assistant to join our team.
Working closely with the Merchandising, Product, eCommerce and Operations teams, you’ll help ensure the right products are available at the right time and presented effectively across our sales channels.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering stock management, product launches, sales reporting and eCommerce merchandising. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is analytical, highly organised and passionate about fashion, retail and growing brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of seasonal collections and product launches
- Monitor stock levels and help identify opportunities to replenish, transfer or manage inventory
- Assist with purchase orders, delivery schedules and product intake
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, stock and supplier information across internal systems
- Produce regular sales, stock and product-performance reports
- Analyse sales trends and highlight bestsellers, slower-moving products and emerging opportunities
- Support range planning by providing accurate sales and stock information
- Work with the eCommerce team to ensure products, categories and collections are presented effectively online
- Check product descriptions, imagery, pricing, sizing and availability before launches
- Assist with promotional activity, markdowns and seasonal campaigns
- Communicate stock and product updates clearly across the wider business
- Build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Complete general merchandising administration accurately and on time
About You
- Highly organised, accurate and confident working with numbers
- Strong attention to detail and able to spot inconsistencies
- Commercially aware, with an interest in customer behaviour and product performance
- Confident using spreadsheets and comfortable learning new systems
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, solutions-focused and willing to take ownership of tasks
- A clear communicator who works well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Passionate about fashion, retail, eCommerce and community-led brands
Previous experience in merchandising, buying, retail or eCommerce would be beneficial but is not essential. Training can be provided for the right person with a positive attitude, strong numerical skills and a willingness to learn.

Pay: £27,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
