About the Role
You should have previous experience working with overseas staff and a strong understanding of the UK sponsorship system, including Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), right to work checks, DBS processes, and compliance requirements relating to overseas recruitment within the care sector.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee both recruitment and core HR functions across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will play a key role in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and supporting organisational growth within a fast-paced care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage overseas recruitment processes including Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), visa compliance, right to work checks, and DBS clearances in line with Home Office regulations
· Lead candidate generation through social media, job boards, and networking events
· Screen applications and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
· Develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with business needs
· Manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth candidate experience and remain compliant with Home Office and CQC regulations
· Utilise Access people planner and BrightHR for candidate onboarding management and reporting.
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
· Oversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation, performance, and offboarding
· Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
· Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and effectively implemented
· Support managers with HR queries, guidance, and best practice
Employee Relations
· Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management
· Provide advice and guidance to managers on handling sensitive HR matters
· Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
Compliance & Training
· Monitor visa expiry dates and maintain sponsorship compliance records in accordance with UKVI requirements
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and CQC-related standards
· Monitor and maintain records for compliance training, certifications, and right-to-work checks
· Support audits and inspections by ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
HR Strategy & Reporting
· Contribute to HR strategy aligned with organisational growth
· Analyse HR metrics (turnover, recruitment, absence) and provide reports to Directors
· Identify areas for improvement in recruitment, retention, and employee engagement
Requirements
·Previous experience working with overseas staff recruitment and sponsorship processes within the care sector
· Strong understanding of UKVI regulations, Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), right to work requirements, and DBS procedures
Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR or recruitment (health & social care preferred)
· Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment and HR processes
· Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
· Experience handling employee relations cases
· Proficiency with ATS systems and HR software
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organisational and stakeholder management abilities
· CIPD qualification (Level 3/5 desirable)
· Ability to work independently and report directly to senior leadership

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
