Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording inbound and outbound vehicles, ensuring seamless material flow and inventory accuracy. Your expertise will help maintain efficient operations at the weighbridge station, supporting overall productivity and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge equipment to accurately measure vehicle weights during arrival and departure processes
- Record all weight data meticulously within the management system
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by coordinating load and unload operations efficiently
- Collaborate with staff to facilitate smooth shipping & receiving workflows and maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Perform routine mechanical checks on weighbridge machinery to ensure optimal functioning and report any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently, with relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of weighbridge systems
- Previous weighbridge experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally involving shipping & receiving operations
- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic issues with weighing equipment or related machinery
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and physical demands
Pay: £14.50 per hour
