JDL Contractors Ltd is a growing contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment projects, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. Due to continued workload, we are looking to recruit an experienced Carpenter / Kitchen Fitter to join our team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Installation of full kitchen units within occupied and void social housing properties
- First and second fix carpentry
- Fitting base and wall units, worktops, end panels, and plinths
- Cutting and fitting worktops (including laminate and mitred joints)
- Installation of internal doors, architraves, skirting boards, and other finishing carpentry
- Making good and ensuring kitchens are completed to a high standard
- Working closely with plumbers, electricians, and other trades
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer care
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience)
- Valid CSCS card
- Proven experience fitting kitchens
- Experience within social housing or domestic refurbishment (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a professional, tenant-friendly attitude
