Media Studies Lecturer - Further Education

Hours: 24 teaching hours per week + preparation, assessment and administration time
Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for an experienced Media Studies Lecturer to join a Further Education setting in South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Media professional to provide high-quality teaching and continuity for learners across Levels 2 and 3.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Media Studies across Levels 2 and 3, alongside preparation, assessment, learner support and associated administrative duties.
The role involves teaching across two campuses, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling between locations.
The college allocates 8 hours on site and 5 hours working from home for lesson preparation, assessment, administration and learner support, providing flexibility outside of teaching hours.
The teaching timetable is fixed and non-negotiable, and the successful candidate must be able to fully commit to the required teaching hours each week.
We are particularly interested in candidates with:

Experience teaching Media Studies at Level 2 and/or Level 3

Strong subject knowledge and awareness of the Media industry

Experience teaching and assessing learners within a Further Education setting

A relevant teaching qualification, although substantial FE teaching experience will also be considered

Excellent classroom and learner management skills

The ability to work across multiple campuses

Strong organisational and communication skills

A reliable and committed approach to teaching
