Responsibilities
- Deliver customised GCSE Maths lessons to students of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs.
- Assess students’ current understanding and develop lesson plans that address their specific learning objectives.
- Use effective teaching methods and resources to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Support students in developing exam techniques and confidence in their mathematical abilities.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes active participation and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE Maths, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
- Experience working with children or young learners, including those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently.
- Organised with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Passionate about education and committed to supporting student success.
- Relevant qualifications in Maths or Education are preferred but not essential for enthusiastic applicants with relevant experience.
