Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and eager to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners, supporting their developmental needs and fostering a love of learning. Prior nursery experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality care and education to children aged from birth to five years.
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the organisation of daily routines and special events within the nursery setting.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff and parents as appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing training programmes to enhance childcare skills and knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for successful applicants.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
