As a Paediatric Senior Staff Nurse, you will:
- Play a vital role in the child’s journey through the hospital.
- Be a trusted guide and support to them as well as to their parents or guardians.
- Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team.
- Work with a wide variety of cases which will broaden your skills. You will also work within different specialist areas.
- Support the manager with the operational and clinical management of the CYP service
- Work collaboratively with your manager, consultants and a range of stakeholders to drive and develop the CYP service
- Promote innovation within the service to be responsive to service user needs.
To succeed as a SSN in our Children and Young Person’s Service you will:
- Be registered with the NMC and have extensive post registration experience in a children’s ward setting
- Have various levels of post-registration experience – and ideally EPALS, ILS or ALS skills or willingness to undertake further study.
- Have experience in Children’s nursing with Adult nursing as an advantage
- Work well individually and as part of a team
