Job description
Assisting in running of a busy kitchen. Working alongside the head chef to prepare meals for several schools. A clean driving license is essential as applicant will be out delivering to schools everyday. This includes lifting and moving food storage boxes which can be heavy. Working in a small team to create tasty and healthy food for local children.
Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
Hours Monday to Friday 10:00 to 2:30 - School Term Time only
Food preparation and cooking
Preparing fruit and vegetables
Receiving and storing food deliveries
Operate commercial dishwashing machine
Counting/Checking school plates and cutlery
Helping with loading/unloading and delivery of school meals
Ensuring delivery boxes are clean and safely stored
Washing kitchen apparatus and tins used in food preparations
Washing school plates and cutlery
General cleaning of the kitchen area and trash removal
Regularly scheduled cleaning of ovens, grills, refrigerators and food preparation areas
Sweeping and mopping of floors and cleaning of floor drains at end of shift
Delivering of school meals - Full clean Driving license required
Helping out in other areas when necessary
Work remotely
