Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery
- Provide attentive guest service by checking on tables regularly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests
- Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure health regulations are met
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage time efficiently to handle multiple tables simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and basic food handling procedures
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for billing and transactions
- Experience with serving or food preparation is a plus, including kitchen or culinary background
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn about menu items, upselling techniques, and restaurant operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
