Part Time Role - Specific Fridays and 1st/4th Weekends (event weekends only)
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Event Floor Manager to oversee the smooth operation of events within our venue. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong background in hospitality, events, markets, exhibitions and equivalent, ensuring customer/vendor satisfaction, and maximising revenue through effective upselling techniques.
The Event Floor Manager will be pivotal in creating warm, memorable experiences for our guests/vendors while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. This part-time paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the success of diverse events.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact with Directors and handle/convey clear instructions to team members
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events on the venue floor, ensuring all aspects run seamlessly.
- Coordinate with setup/packaway, handle all technicals, and other departments to deliver exceptional customer/vendor experiences.
- Manage customer/vendor services by addressing enquiries promptly and resolving any issues that arise during events.
- Implement upselling strategies to maximise revenue from event vendor packages and more
- Supervise staff members on shift, providing guidance on organisational tasks and customer service standards.
- Monitor event timelines and ensure all activities adhere to scheduled plans.
- Maintain a clean and organised event space, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in organising event logistics such as seating arrangements, decorations, and equipment setup.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high service standards.
Working Hours:
Specific Fridays and 1st/4th weekends of a month (not all months are the same:
Fridays: Remote Online Team Meeting 10:30-12:30 only
Event Weekend Sat & Sun: On-site | 09:30-18:00
Experience
- Experience in hospitality, events/exhibitions management, hotel operations or similar roles within event management is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with guests, staff, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling products or services to enhance revenue streams during events.
- Experience in fundraising or guest services will be considered advantageous.
- Familiarity with managing teams and coordinating multiple activities concurrently is essential.
- Prior exposure to hospitality or event environments will support success in this role.

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
