Recclesia is a multi-disciplined historic building conservation specialist with core in-house skills including stonemasonry, stained glass conservation, and metalwork, working on listed buildings and historic structures throughout the North West and Wales. They are currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the management team with conservation projects.
This is a diverse role which will involve assisting with planning of works, drafting project safety information, checking specification details and ensuring conformity, managing changes to scope, specifications, design, cost and programme, collation of project information during construction phase, liaising with internal departments and workshops as well as sub-contractors and suppliers. There will also be opportunities to assist with survey work, estimating, and procurement.
You will need to be fully computer literate, eloquent, organised, quick-thinking, and good at communicating. You should be fluent in use of MS Office programmes, specifically Excel and Project. The role will involve time on various sites as well as the office so a full UK driving licence is essential. You will be quick to adapt, good at multi-tasking, and able to turn your hand to the quite different requirements of each individual project.
Experience in a similar or related role within the heritage or construction sector is preferred with a minimum of 2 years in post. Some training will be provided in company specific process and procedures, but we are looking for someone who can assist with project management from the get go. A relevant qualification either in construction, conservation, or project management are preferred, but greater experience will also be taken into account.
