Lumos Experiences creates immersive, candlelit jazz music experiences across London and surrounding areas. We're looking for a confident, warm and solutions-focused Event Manager to be the face of our events — ensuring every guest has an exceptional evening from arrival to departure.

What you'll do:
Event leadership
Act as the on-site lead, taking full ownership of each Lumos concert evening and making confident, real-time decisions to keep things running to our premium standards.
Guest experience
Oversee every touchpoint of the guest journey — from warm, efficient check-in through to final departure — maintaining the immersive, premium atmosphere Lumos is known for.
Team leadership
Brief, delegate and support front-of-house staff across setting up, ushering and bar roles — keeping morale high and standards consistent throughout the evening.
Show flow & coordination
Manage doors, performance cues and intervals, liaising with musicians and the Production Manager to ensure smooth transitions at every stage of the show.
Venue liaison & close-down
Represent Lumos with venue staff, ensure compliance with access times and rules, and manage a thorough handover at the end of the evening.
Post-event reporting
Complete event feedback summaries and communicate key observations to the operations manager to support continuous improvement.
What we're looking for:
Experience in events, hospitality or front-of-house management. A natural leader with calm, decisive problem-solving under pressure. Warm, professional manner with a passion for exceptional guest experiences. A great eye for detail with the performance area set ups and surrounding areas of the venue. Strong communication and team coordination skills. Appreciation of live music and premium event environments.
Desirable:
Knowledge of sound and audio-visual technology — familiarity with live event tech is a real bonus.
Ability and willingness to drive a van to transport event equipment between venues.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
