Bowson is an established independent estate agency with two Newcastle offices in Jesmond and High Heaton. We specialise in residential sales, lettings and property management, helping clients across Newcastle and the wider North East.
We are looking for an ambitious, driven Negotiator to join our team. This is a balanced role across both sales and lettings, with equal involvement in each area. It is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, winning business, negotiating deals and being rewarded for their results across multiple property disciplines.
The role offers a £27,500 basic salary alongside an uncapped commission structure, with typical earnings of £34,000–£38,000+ for someone consistently achieving strong results. There is no limit to earning potential, with exceptional performers able to exceed this through outstanding performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesWinning Business
- Build strong relationships with vendors, landlords, buyers and tenants
- Identify opportunities to win new sales and lettings instructions
- Follow up leads proactively and convert opportunities into business
- Achieve and exceed targets for instructions, viewings, offers and completed transactions
- Generate repeat business and recommendations through excellent service
Sales & Negotiation
- Conduct engaging property viewings that maximise buyer interest and generate offers
- Negotiate effectively between buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants to secure the best outcomes
- Progress both sales and lettings transactions from offer through to completion or move-in
- Keep clients informed throughout the process and maintain momentum across all deals
Client Management
- Provide structured, professional feedback to vendors and landlords after viewings
- Maintain proactive communication with all parties throughout both sales and lettings processes
- Ensure every client interaction reflects the professional standards of Bowson
- Build long-term relationships that support future business growth
Lettings & Compliance
- Support the progression of lettings applications and tenancy setups
- Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures
- Ensure compliance with AML, Right to Rent and relevant legislation
- Maintain high standards of accuracy across all transactions
Systems & Administration
- Maintain accurate CRM records with detailed notes and timelines
- Manage property listings across portals with accurate descriptions and presentation
- Register and qualify applicants effectively
- Respond promptly to enquiries and internal communications
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Experience within estate agency or a similar customer-facing sales environment
- A proven ability to build relationships and convert opportunities
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills across phone, email and face-to-face interactions
- High standards, attention to detail and personal accountability
- A motivated, ambitious attitude with a desire to achieve results
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Preferred
- Experience within either residential sales or lettings (not necessarily both)
- Knowledge of the Newcastle property market
- Experience using Alto or a similar property CRM system
