In Charge Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Joiner / Maintenance Operative with commercial shop fitting experience to join our growing team.
The role involves working on commercial construction, shop fitting, fit-outs, refurbishments, planned and reactive maintenance, and general building works across a variety of commercial sites. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has excellent attention to detail, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be expected to carry out a wide range of joinery and maintenance tasks, working to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices on site.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and willing to undertake all aspects of commercial joinery and general maintenance work as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out first and second fix joinery.
- Complete commercial shop fitting and fit-out works.
- Install doors, frames, skirting, partitions and suspended ceilings.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial properties.
- Complete general maintenance and repair works, including basic multi-trade tasks.
- Assist with commercial refurbishments, alterations and general building works.
- Work from drawings and specifications.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, health & safety, and site housekeeping.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' joinery experience.
- Commercial shop fitting experience is essential.
- Experience working on commercial construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects.
- Ability to carry out general maintenance and multi-skilled building works.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred).
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
- CSCS Card (preferred).
Please note: This role requires working 7:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday. These are fixed working hours and applicants must be able to commit to this schedule. Overtime and occasional weekend work may also be required.

Pay: £20.00-£22.00 per hour
