tmactive are currently recruiting for a self-motivated and target driven Membership
Advisor to join our team at the Angel Centre. This is a very busy facility offering a
wide range of leisure pursuits for the local community.
As well as selling Health & Fitness Memberships to new and existing customers via
walk-in and telephone enquiries, the successful candidate will be expected to have
a proactive approach to generating sales leads and a focus on the customer
experience to aid retention.
The person we are looking for has a confident, friendly and enthusiastic manner
with a keen interest in the leisure industry. It is desirable for candidates to have a
background in either sales, customer service or the leisure industry.
Shift Pattern:
Monday 09:00 - 13:00
Tuesday 16:00 - 20:00
Wednesday 09:00 - 13:00
Thursday 16:00 - 20:00
Friday 09:00 - 13:00
Please note these shifts can be subject to change depending on business needs.
Centre Manager / Business Development Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
To promote and increase membership sales within the Centre, communicate directly with customers to build a stronger relationship and actively seek out new business opportunities. This role is also about being the start of the membership retention process for that individual too. The sales advisor will also assist in any administrative duties required within the department.

To actively promote membership packages within the centre in line with instructions from the Manager

To support membership growth by using the sales process to ensure sales and income targets are achieved

To assist in delivering the highest level of customer care, including meeting regularly with existing members to ensure the level of service and retention is maintained
- To assist in the promotion and marketing of the centre, its services and facilities, which entails outreach in the surrounding areas

To maximise new business conversion through effective sales closure

To maximise cross-selling and up-selling opportunities through proactive initiatives

To handle membership enquiries and bookings

To generate excitement and passion for health and fitness to optimise all sales opportunities
- Contact all membership leads by phone where possible and also by email and text when required

Undertake regular competitor analysis and keep up-to-date with industry trends, identifying opportunities

To assist in the communications and promotions of the Centres services

Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
