Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Fundraiser to join our organisation. NorthWest Women in STEM is a non-profit community interest group dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering women and girls through community events, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. As we expand our programmes, we are looking for passionate volunteers to help strengthen our fundraising and partnerships.
1. Volunteer Charity Fundraisers
We are seeking three volunteers to support grant research, grant writing, and fundraising initiatives. Responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, assisting with grant applications, supporting fundraising campaigns, and maintaining a simple tracker of funders and deadlines.
Duties:
Fundraising & Grants
- Research potential funding opportunities using grant databases and funder websites.
- Identify relevant community grants, corporate funding, and charitable trusts.
- Assist with grant writing and funding applications.
- Support reporting requirements for funded projects.
Fundraising Activities
- Help organise fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
- Support event-based fundraising activities.
- Assist with developing donation drives and crowdfunding campaigns.
Research & Administration
- Maintain a simple database of potential funders.
- Track application deadlines and submission schedules.
- Assist with preparing supporting documentation for applications.
Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or relationship management is preferred
- Experience organising events or campaigns that engage diverse audiences
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for women’s empowerment and STEM education
