Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure checks on arrival are completed accurately and recommendations are clearly communicated for use (which customers and packing lines are best suited)
· Ensure that the intake processes and reports are fit for purpose
· Work with the Quality team and others in the continuous monitoring of product quality using established processes and tools
· Work with the Team Leaders and QCs to amend line processes and resolve issues related to ensuring product remains in specification
· Provide insight on challenges that arise through customer feedback or depot warnings / rejections, and work to preventative actions and resolution
· Manage the completion of daily and weekly audits i.e. store temperatures and calibrations
· Manage the quality team to include rotas, holidays and recruitment. Proactively support, and mentor the team to work cohesively and seamlessly in delivering of quality KPIs and within specification product on a daily basis
· Generate season end reviews and customer report data for the quality team KPIs, making recommendations or suggestions for improvement where noted throughout the season to ensure continuous improvement. Support in setting quality KPI targets and QIPs (Quality Improvement Plans)
· Work with the team to complete internal audits on documentation and business practices to ensure high standards, meeting customer requirements are in place and maintained
· Continually seek opportunities for development and improvement in practices that may improve output of the Quality function within the business and support through to completion
· Support with on-site visits and working with customer depots where necessary to ensure continued customer relationship
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Good fresh fruit product knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and internal systems
Ability to mentor or coach team members when required (new starters, new requirements and ongoing etc.)
Good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to organise and plan, working flexibly where required whilst showing initiative
