Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various heating systems (Air Source Heat Pump and Boilers) in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a hands-on approach to assembling, plumbing, and maintaining heating systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair Air Source Heat Pumps and Boilers in residential and commercial properties.
- Assemble components of heating systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to heating installations and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with heating systems and implement effective solutions.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heating system installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous for transporting equipment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of the job requirements.
- Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Experience or skills in carpentry or welding would be beneficial but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
