Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing initial assessment and stabilization of patients or individuals in distress
- Perform physical examinations to evaluate injury or illness severity, utilizing your knowledge of physiology and anatomy
- Administer basic life support (BLS) techniques, including CPR and AED use, to sustain life until advanced medical help arrives
- Assist with patient care activities such as wound management, vital sign monitoring, and comfort measures
- Support medication administration and injection procedures following proper aseptic techniques and medical terminology protocols
- Conduct triage to prioritize cases based on urgency, ensuring the most critical needs are addressed first
- Operate emergency vehicles safely, demonstrating driving skills while managing heavy lifting during equipment setup or patient transport
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, treatments administered, and observations for legal and medical purposes
Experience
- Prior experience in critical care environments such as hospitals or emergency services is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of first aid procedures, medical terminology, and basic physiology principles
- Hands-on experience with physical examinations and medication administration in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with triage protocols and hospital procedures for patient assessment and prioritization
- Valid driving license with a clean record; ability to operate emergency response vehicles safely
- Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking during emergencies

Duties:
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide necessary medical assistance sometimes being the first resource on scene.
- Administer first aid and basic medical treatments as per scope of practice.
- Assist and liaise with other agencies and services when required. E.G; Police, Fire and Ambulance.
- Monitor and manage individuals under your care, ensuring routine observations are completed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate further patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interventions and observations on PRF's and minor PI forms.
Experience:
Pre-Hospital care: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (preferred)
FREC 3 (preferred)
