We’re seeking a Sports Therapist to support injury assessment and rehabilitation across our Performance Sport Programme. Working within the Performance Services team, you’ll also contribute to delivery of Sports Therapist support and play a key role in developing sports medical practitioners; delivering high-quality support that ensures the very best student-athlete experience.
You’ll make a difference by:
Work with the Head of Performance Services, Head Physiotherapist and Heads of sports to understand and meet the needs of the relevant programmes.
Contribute to the planning and administration of a robust rehabilitation provision for the performance programme.
Provide on-field, pitch side, and gym-based provision sports programmes, utilising the wider MDT, academic staff, and the student workforce to supplement the delivery of service.
Support regular digital reporting, weekly and monthly monitoring and GPS database.
This is a part time position working 14.8 hours per week which will include fixture cover, evenings and weekends; on a fixed term basis until 31/07/2027.
What you’ll bring
You will bring significant experience as a physiotherapist within a sports environment, combining strong clinical expertise with effective problem solving and communication skills.
Additionally, you’ll have:
Experience of working as a sports therapist within a sports environment.
Experience of assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.
Experience of delivery match day, pitch side medical support.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team of interdisciplinary staff and stakeholders.
