Flux Pumps UK is a leading distributor of industrial pumps for emptying drums, containers and tanks. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of our parent company Flux-Gereate GmbH. Our Corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility is based near Stuttgart, in Germany.
FLUX has been manufacturing world leading pumps since 1950. Our products are designed for the longest service life in the toughest applications.
We supply pumps and flow meters for almost any fluid – water, oils, solvents, flammable liquids, food and pharmaceutical products. Our extensive range of products is suitable for transfer, emptying, mixing, filling and metering. Key industries served include manufacturing, surface finishing, paints, petrochemicals, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and water treatment.
The Flux range is centred on the class-leading F400 series barrel & IBC pumps. We also manufacture the CombiFlux battery operated container pump - the World's first battery powered chemical pump for industrial use. Other products include one-touch dispensing systems, hygienic pumps and Viscopower pumps for handling high viscosity fluids. Plus ViscoFlux drum emptying systems for products that do not flow, eg. tomato paste or cosmetic cream.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly team. The role is an office-based position working alongside our existing bookkeeper and reporting to the UK Director. The role requires at least 5 years’ book-keeping experience and ideally basic knowledge of UK GAAP. Experience with Sage accounting package is essential.
Remote working is not permitted for this role.
Responsibilities
· Creating sales invoices from shipping documents and e-mailing to customers
· Processing all purchase invoices
· Matching stock receipts to purchase invoices for stock items
· Compiling a monthly suppliers payment list
· Check bank receipts and payments daily
· Maintaining the fixed asset register by adding and disposing of records as necessary
· Month end jounal postings. Making supplementary journal postings each month to reconcile accounts
· Running a monthly trial balance
· Assist with annual stock-take
· Any other ad hoc duties that may be required
Working Hours
9.00 – 14.30 Mon-Thurs with 30 minutes for lunch (20 hours per week). Alternative working patterns Mon-Thurs may be considered.
Working Environment
The role is based at our Verwood office.
Training
The candidate will receive training on our ProAlpha ERP system.
