Head Bartender at The Beaverwood
The Beaverwood offers venue hire for celebrations, weddings, proms, and corporate events. We also hold regular Live Band evenings and Club Nights. We are situated in leafy Chislehurst, Kent and are looking for a highly motivated new team member.
Resembling a marquee with its draped ceiling, our purpose built event space is fully air-conditioned/heated and features two well stocked bars and a dance floor.
This full time permanent position, 40 hours per week, on a shift pattern to include days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. 28 days paid holiday. Annual salary of £30,000.
Previous experience of Head Bartender or private venue experience is an advantage when applying for this role.
The successful candidate will ideally be a motivated individual who is a natural leader and team player and be a confident communicator. You must be a well presented, friendly and enthusiastic person with excellent spoken English and good customer service skills, as you will be regularly engaging with our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Helping with the day to day running of the venue
Assist with the setting up of events.
Working closely with the Event Manger and team to ensure all events are run smoothly.
Supervising the bar and front of house staff, motivating and leading with enthusiasm to provide excellent service.
Stock taking and bar management
Supplier management
Skills and Experience needed:
- Minimum 2 year experience in similar role
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
- Passionate & knowledgeable about alcoholic beverages & cocktails
- Confident team leader with the ability to be hands-on and delegate
- Manage the business aspects of the bar, dealing with suppliers, ordering and stock control
- Ability to promote inhouse products & services
- Budgets, forecasting & cash handling
- Service opening and closing duties, including end of night reporting.
- Being a trusted key holder to the venue.
- Maintain standards of H&S to meet necessary guidelines and certifications, ensuring venue & equipment is kept clean and maintained to highest standards.
- Assist in developing and maintaining wine, cocktail and spirits menu
- Promote a positive working environment.
- Provide hospitality with flair, and a smile
- Monitoring and control of product cost
- Listen and respond empathetically to guest and team members alike
