Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to management
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service during busy periods
- Support the overall kitchen operations by assisting with additional tasks as required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the kitchen as needed
- Previous serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude towards customer service is important
