Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily production activities, drive process improvements, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your leadership will help us optimise workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain our reputation for excellence in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- The primary aim of this role will be to provide leadership and management.
- Supervise and coordinate all production activities to meet quality, safety, and delivery standards
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste
- Manage supply chain operations to ensure timely availability of materials and components
- Plan work, to ensure deadlines are met and the resources are sufficiently used to achieve them.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP to plan, monitor, and report production metrics
- Oversee assembly processes, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied effectively for efficient operations
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production cycle to uphold product standards
- Lead process improvement projects focused on enhancing efficiency and reducing costs
Skills
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ ERP systems for manufacturing planning and reporting
- Proven and strong leadership ability
- Extensive experience with supply chain management within a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly lines and manufacturing equipment
- Expertise in process improvement techniques to optimize workflows and reduce variability
- Solid understanding of quality control procedures and standards
- Ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence
