Base Location: Twr y Felin Hotel, St Davids
Additional Locations: Penrhiw Priory and Roch Castle (travel required — driver essential)
Job Purpose
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to deliver exceptional levels of cleanliness and presentation across all Retreats Group properties. You will maintain guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces, and our on‑site spa facilities to the company’s high standards, ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay.
Full training will be provided, including spa cleaning procedures, to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, spa facilities, and back‑of‑house areas to company standards.
- Work efficiently to ensure guest rooms are completed prior to arrival.
- Follow established checklists to ensure all rooms and areas are fully stocked and presented to standard.
- Liaise with the Laundry department regarding linen requirements, shortages, or stained items.
- Report guest lost property to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance department.
- Deliver a smooth, courteous, and guest‑focused service at all times, anticipating needs and responding to requests professionally.
- Respect guest privacy by always knocking and allowing time for a response before entering rooms.
- Handle guest belongings with care, avoiding unnecessary movement of personal items.
- Wear the correct uniform and maintain high personal hygiene standards.
- Be present during key operational periods including Weddings, Events, Christmas, New Year, Easter, School Holidays, and Bank Holidays.
- Work across all Retreats Group properties as required (driving licence and vehicle essential).
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across the Group.
- Work confidently and independently in a busy environment.
