We are proud of our strong track record as a leading care service provider, and we are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support our mission of helping people live longer, healthier, and more independent lives at Sycamore Hall in the beautiful scenic village of Bainbridge, North Yorkshire.
Sycamore Hall is the hub of the village with its own community library, visiting post office, shop, restaurant and hair salon. Residents can also enjoy a range of onsite facilities including a communal lounge, laundry and guest room.
The court has well-maintained and child-friendly gardens with a sun house, greenhouse and chickens. Residents are welcome to join in with the gardening if they choose. The gardens attract a variety of birds and outdoor activities are held there in the summer.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance and development of a team of Care and Support Workers. You will champion a culture of care and resilience, supporting your team’s wellbeing, addressing challenges with empathy and determination, and creating an environment where every team member can thrive and deliver outstanding care.
Reporting directly to a Registered Manager, you will ensure that the care and support delivered in people’s homes is safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led. Your leadership will be key to maintaining the high standards North Yorkshire Council is known for.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in supervising or leading care teams
- A strong understanding of adult social care standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement
- Ability to access the service independently to meet the service hours, as public transport to the service is limited
Qualification Requirements
We are looking for candidates who holds an NVQ Level 3 or a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
However, if you currently hold a Level 2 qualification, don’t let that hold you back, we will fully support you to achieve your Level 3 within 12 months of starting the role. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while making a real difference in people’s lives.

You will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of a 7-day service. NYC pay a weekend working allowance of £30 per weekend shift worked.
