Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum + Ofsted Performance Bonus
Hours: Full Time | Monday-Friday with On-Call Responsibilities
Lead an Established 'Good' Rated Children's Home
We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our established Ofsted-rated Good children's residential home in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing provider and take the lead of a well-established home with strong foundations already in place. Our three-bedroom home currently operates as a solo provision, with a young person who has settled exceptionally well through consistent, nurturing care. We are taking a measured approach to future admissions, giving you the opportunity to lead the matching process and help shape the home's future.
Working alongside a highly experienced and supportive Responsible Individual, you'll have the autonomy to lead the service while benefiting from ongoing guidance and support.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring outstanding care, positive outcomes for children and full compliance with Ofsted and the Children's Homes Regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing staff team.
- Maintaining compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Creating a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment for children with EBD.
- Overseeing care planning, quality assurance, staffing and performance.
- Preparing for Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 visits.
- Building positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
- Driving continuous improvement across the service.
About You
You'll have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding and residential childcare legislation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
