Pay Rate: £13.52 per hour PAYE or £16.92 per hour Umbrella
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: 30 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–4:00pm; Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm
Start Date: 14 September 2026
End Date: 7 December 2026
Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an Early Years Worker to join a children's service in Londonderry. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years professional to support the care, development and learning of young children within a high-quality early years setting.
The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can develop socially, emotionally and educationally. You will work closely with children, families and colleagues to promote positive outcomes and deliver high standards of care and early years education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to young children within an early years setting.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical and educational development.
- Observe children's progress and contribute to relevant records and assessments.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
- Support children's individual needs and encourage their independence and confidence.
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all children at all times.
- Follow relevant policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a wider early years team to deliver high standards of care.
Applicant Requirements
- A Level 2 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant subject is essential.
- Previous experience working with young children within an early years, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable.
- Early Years Vetting clearance is required.
- Enhanced Access NI clearance is required.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain appropriate records.
