We're looking for an experienced and passionate Pre-School Room Leader to take ownership of our Pre-School room and lead a team in providing an engaging, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for their next chapter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional who enjoys leading a team, has a strong understanding of the EYFS and is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences for children in their final year of nursery.

What You'll Be Doing
As Pre-School Room Leader, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, leading your team and ensuring children receive high-quality care, learning and preparation for their transition to school.
- Lead: Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the Pre-School room and create a positive, well-organised environment where children can thrive.
- Prepare: Support children in developing the confidence, independence and key skills they need as they prepare for their transition to school.
- Inspire: Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and age-appropriate experiences that follow children's interests and extend their learning.
- Develop: Support children's development across all areas of the EYFS, with a particular focus on communication, language, personal, social and emotional development and school readiness.
- Observe: Oversee observations, assessments and planning, ensuring children's individual progress and next steps are identified and supported.
- Lead Your Team: Motivate, support and guide practitioners within the room, promoting high standards of Early Years practice.
- Mentor: Share your knowledge and experience with colleagues, helping to build confidence and develop the skills of the wider team.
- Communicate: Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, sharing information about children's learning, progress, development and readiness for school.
- Safeguard: Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies are consistently followed.
- Transition: Work closely with colleagues and families to support children through their transition from Pre-School into school.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- A Level 3 or higher DfE-approved Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally with experience leading a Pre-School room.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development.
- A good understanding of school readiness and how to support children as they prepare for their next stage of education.
- Experience leading, supporting or mentoring other practitioners.
- Strong knowledge of supporting children's communication, language, independence and personal, social and emotional development.
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- A caring, positive and approachable leadership style.
- The confidence to take ownership of a room and make decisions using your own initiative.
- A genuine passion for helping children develop the confidence and skills they need to take their next steps.
