Subway Supervisor
Job Summary
The Subway Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Subway restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with Subway brand standards. The role supports the Store Manager by supervising team members, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient and profitable operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Subway restaurant.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Subway recipes and brand standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and product availability throughout the day.
- Open and close the restaurant following company procedures.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate Sandwich Artists and other team members.
- Allocate daily duties and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing staff training.
- Support performance management and encourage a positive team environment.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure every customer has a positive experience.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Promote menu items and upselling opportunities.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Monitor food temperatures, storage, stock rotation, and expiry dates.
- Maintain accurate food safety records and cleaning schedules.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, sanitised, and well-presented at all times.
Stock & Inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food and supplies.
- Receive deliveries and check products for quality and accuracy.
- Minimise food waste through effective stock rotation and portion control.
Cash Handling
- Operate the POS system accurately.
- Balance tills and complete cash reconciliation procedures.
- Follow company cash handling and security policies.
Health & Safety
- Ensure a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- Report hazards, maintenance issues, and accidents promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local health and safety legislation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-food, restaurant, or food retail environment.
- Supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
- Food Safety/Hygiene certification (desirable).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
