Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 3.5-tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering palletized goods efficiently and safely to various locations within the ME postcode, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of service. Duties
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle for local deliveries and collections
- Load and unload goods via an electric pump truck.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required
- Adhere to all road safety laws and company policies during every journey
- Assist in warehouse tasks when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with 3.5-tonne vehicles
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for driving a 3.5-tonne vehicle, with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
