Job Overview
Due to huge growth, we are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating reach trucks safely, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and knowledge to contribute to a well-organised logistics environment. The position is suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a professional setting. This role will be on a 3 week rolling rota of 06:00-14:00/ 22:00-06:00/14:00-22:00.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate reach trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Manage stock levels using the warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory control
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing goods
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain safety standards
- Support with general warehouse duties such as organising stock and maintaining a clean work environment
- Troubleshoot minor issues with equipment when necessary
- Apply basic maths skills for counting, measuring, and recording quantities accurately
Qualifications
- 1 year proven experience operating reach trucks or similar forklift equipment in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory procedures
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, weighing, and recording data accurately
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations is advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour
