Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized care to residents, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment and ensuring best practices are followed
- Develop, review, and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using IT systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Support residents’ emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful conversations and recreational activities
- Assist with administrative tasks related to care management, including updating records and reporting incidents
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and colleagues
- Valid driving license preferred for transporting residents or attending appointments outside the care home
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory requirements in senior care settings
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and communication within healthcare environments
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and shifts as required
