Fanshawe Group is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our growing Social Housing Maintenance Team.
We are looking for a reliable, skilled and customer-focused plumber with proven experience working within social housing, property maintenance or reactive repairs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumber looking for consistent work, regular payments and the support of an established maintenance contractor.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out plumbing maintenance and repairs across occupied and void social housing properties, ensuring works are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
Typical works will include:
- Routine day-to-day plumbing repairs
- Reactive maintenance
- Repairs to taps, toilets, sinks, baths and showers
- Leaking pipes and sanitaryware
- Fault finding and remedial works
- Basic plumbing servicing and maintenance
- Carrying out works within occupied properties
- Plumbing works within void properties
- Identifying additional repair requirements and reporting them appropriately
- Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when dealing with residents
- Completing job records and paperwork accurately
- Working to required completion times and company/client standards
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber
- Previous social housing, housing association or reactive maintenance experience – essential
- Experience working in occupied residential properties
- Strong practical plumbing skills and good fault-finding ability
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own daily workload
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Full UK driving licence
- Own plumbing hand tools
Desirable
- Gas qualification / Gas Safe registration
- Experience working on social housing maintenance contracts
- Experience working on void properties
- Experience using mobile job management systems
- Relevant plumbing qualifications

Location
Work will be carried out across our South East social housing contracts, with daily travel dependent on the work allocation.
